Welcome to Slow Lane Art Studio!

She was almost perfectly happy being a graphic designer with her own studio for 19 years. But early in 2005, she found a wonderful art product, a textile hardener, while searching the Internet. She ordered some from Holland, tried it and knew she would have to have more! This product actually did what it promised, and was certified non-toxic and safe, which was very compatible with her conscience and personality. It also allowed her to move out of her two-dimensional world. Unfortunately, there was none available in the USA.

The then grandmother of four who had never been west of the Mississippi took a plane to Holland, met with the people who sold the product, and became an importer. Before he knew it, He, mild-mannered math teacher and tae kwon do master, was Vice-President of a new business named Paverpol USA.

The business grew as interest in textile hardeners increased. They found several very talented artists to teach the techniques. Now they have distributors across the USA, instructors and trainers, and they can kick back a little and cover their home territory, the Mid-Atlantic Coast of the USA and enjoy Art in the Slow Lane.

If you live in MD, VA, WV, PA, DE, DC, OH or KY (yeah, we know it's a stretch from the coast) take a look at their products, projects and adventures. If you live in another section of the USA , please visit your nearest retailer found on our links page.

This is the trip that started it all for me. Holland is beautiful, the country and the people. This is Kinderdijk. I hope to return one day.

This was the first market day I ever attended. It was in Delft and an amazing experience!
